The Power of the Blood of Jesus

Colossians 1:12-16, 20-21

Many of us know Jesus Christ Shed his blood when he died for us, but we must know what his shed blood did for us in order to walk in power and victory. There is an empowerment and anointing to get victories for those who understand the power of the blood of Jesus and what the blood has done.

Sin separated us from God (Adam); it brought death, poverty, disunity, destruction, idolatry, mental and body illnesses, diseases, corruption and all other curses. Romans 6:23, I Corinthians 15:56

To appropriate or properly apply the blood of Jesus:

  1. Understand what the blood has done for you as the redeemed of the Lord.  Redeem means:  to buy back, to free from captivity and to free from distress and destruction.
    1. a.    Forgiveness of sin – Hebrews 24 and Romans 4:6-8, Hebrews 4:15 (high priest touched with our infirmities)
    2. Access to the Blessing of Abraham – Genesis 12:2-3, Galatians 3:14
    3. Healing – Isaiah 53:5 – the back of Jesus
    4. Broke those blood line curses off your life – poverty, sickness and diseases, drug addictions, murder, early death and the like
    5. Made you righteous or able to have access to the Father – Romans 5:19
    6. Have Faith in the Blood – Romans 3:21-25 and Romans 10:17 (Faith comes by hearing), Hebrews 8:6 and Hebrews 9:11-14 (good things/conscience)
    7. Use it in your everyday life “Father, I receive my victories in life through the blood of Jesus today”
    8. Expect results based on your faith in the blood (Philippians 1:20)

There are 5 points of Christ’s sufferings.  Today we will look at the hands. Jesus hands were pierced for us as a result there was shed blood — John 20:25-29.  Hands represent economic empowerment, achievement, blessing (Genesis 48:13-16) and success.  Since Jesus hands were pierced for us, we are empowered to prosper economically.

Genesis 48:13-16; Deuteronomy 28:1-8, II Corinthians 8:9-11
